Troop F in Westbrook, along with Middletown Police, are currently investigating the four separate armed robberies at area gas stations that have occurred in the early morning hours between Aug. 21 and Wednesday, said state police.
The first and second robberies took place on Aug. 21 and Aug. 27, both between midnight and 2 a.m. at the Sunoco Gas Station located at 110 Saybrook Road in the town of Haddam.
A third robbery took place on Aug. 28 at the Gulf Gas Station at 339 Main St., in Middletown, and the fourth robbery occurred on Wednesday around 4:52 a.m. at the Valero Gas Station in Durham, state police said.
The suspect is a white male wearing a grey or light blue hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants and a mask covering his face in all four robberies.
At each of the robberies, he has brandished a knife and demanded cash from the register upon entering the store, state police said.
In at least three of the robberies, the male is said to be driving an older model, light-colored Toyota Forerunner.
Anyone who thinks they may have any information regarding these armed robberies or may know the suspect’s identity is asked to call Connecticut State Police Major Crimes Detective Pat Dwyer at 860-250-6817.
